Zeev Buium
Zeev Buium (born December 7, 2005) is an American college ice hockey defenseman for the University of Denver of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He was drafted 12th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career Junior Buium played two seasons for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. During the 2021–22 season, he recorded four goals and nine assists in 49 games for the Under-17 team, and two goals and three assists in 32 USHL games. During the 2022–23 season, he led all team defensemen with 40 points in 63 total games for the Under-18 team, and two goals and ten assists in 23 USHL games. College Buium began his collegiate career for the Denver Pioneers during the 2023–24 season. He was the second-youngest player in NCAA Division I hockey during his freshman year. NTDP
The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) was started in 1996 by USA Hockey as a way to identify elite ice hockey players under the age of 18, and centralize their training. There are two teams in the program: under-17 and under-18. Both teams are based in Plymouth, Michigan. The stated goal of the NTDP is "to prepare student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on the U.S. National Teams and success in their future hockey careers. Its efforts focus not only on high-caliber participation on the ice, but creating well-rounded individuals off the ice". While enrolled in the NTDP, players stay with billet families. The Western Michigan Broncos men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I (NCAA), Division I college ice hockey program that represents Western Michigan University. IIHF World U18 Championship
The IIHF U18 World Championship is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation for national under-18 ice hockey teams from around the world. The tournament is usually played in April and is organized according to a system similar to the Ice Hockey World Championships and the IIHF World Junior Championship. 2024 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2024 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (''2024 WJHC'') will be the 48th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It will begin on December 26, 2023 and will end with the gold medal game being played on January 5, 2024. IIHF World Junior Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), or simply the "World Juniors" in ice hockey circles, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on October 5, 2019, and was intended to conclude with the Frozen Four in April 2020. This would have been the 73rd season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held, and was US college hockey's 126th year overall. However, the postseason tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February, seven members that had previously announced their withdrawal from the WCHA following the 2020–21 season announced that they were reforming the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, and that the new conference would begin play with the 2021–22 season.
