Zebrahead
Zebrahead is an American rock band from La Habra, California, formed in 1996. The group's current line-up comprises rapper Ali Tabatabaee, bassist Ben Osmundson, drummer Ed Udhus, lead guitarist Dan Palmer and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adrian Estrella. Playing a style of music that merges elements of pop-punk and hip hop music, they have released thirteen studio albums. The band was formed in 1996 by Tabatabaee, Osmundson and Udhus, as well as vocalist and rhythm guitarist Justin Mauriello and lead guitarist Greg Bergdorf. Mauriello departed from the group in 2004, following the release of the band's fifth studio album '' Waste of MFZB''. His role was filled in 2005, with the addition of Matty Lewis, who made his debut on '' Broadcast to the World'' (2006). Bergdorf then departed from the group in 2013, being replaced by Palmer, who was first featured on '' Call Your Friends'' (2013). In 2021, Lewis left the band and was replaced by Estrella. Broadcast To The World
''Broadcast to the World'' is the sixth studio album released by American punk rock band Zebrahead. The album was influenced by Lit's '' A Place in the Sun'' (1999). It is their first album with new co-vocalist/rhythm guitarist Matty Lewis, who replaced former member Justin Mauriello after he left the group in late 2004. Shawn Harris of The Matches created the artwork for the album, and for the band's follow-up album, '' Phoenix''. Production ''Broadcast to the World'' was recorded at Maple Studios in Santa Ana, California, and Noise Factory in Fullerton, California, with Cameron Webb and the band as producers. Webb and Greg Bergdorf handled the recording; additional production was done by Marshall Altman and Bergdorf. Bergdorf and Sergio Chavez performed additional editing. Webb mixed the recordings, before the album was mastered by Brian Gardner at Bernie Grundman in Hollywood, California. ''Playmate of the Year'' is the third studio album by American rock band Zebrahead. Released in August 2000, it is their final album released via Columbia Records. The woman modelling on the album cover is American model and actress Jodi Ann Paterson who was a ''Playboy'' Playmate in 1999 and named ''Playmate of the Year'' in 2000, of which the album refers to. ''Exclaim!'' described the musical style of the album as a cross between the "rapping punk of Limp Bizkit and the pop punk of Lit." ''Zebrahead'', more commonly known as ''Yellow'' or ''The Yellow Album'', is the debut studio album by American punk rock band Zebrahead. The songs "Check" and "Hate" are both re-recorded from their ''One More Hit'' demo tape released two years prior in 1996. Most of the songs on the album would end up re-recorded later and released as part of the band's follow-up and first mainstream album, ''Waste of Mind''. The song "Check" would therefore end up re-recorded twice so far. Singles "Check" is the only known single from the album and was accompanied by a music video. Justin Mauriello
Justin Mauriello (born 1975) is the lead singer and guitarist for the alternative rock band Darling Thieves, and former guitarist and founding member of punk rock band Zebrahead. Ali Tabatabaee
Ali Tabatabaee (; born February 27, 1973) is an Iranian-American musician who is one of two main vocalists in the rock band Zebrahead. Alongside bandmate Matty Lewis, he performed the titular character's theme song for the 2006 video game ''Sonic the Hedgehog''. Biography Tabatabaee was born in Tehran, Iran on February 27, 1973. Before joining Zebrahead, Tabatabaee was a pre-med student at UC Irvine majoring in Biology and minoring in Theater. After graduating, he decided to take a year off from school to take the MCAT and to apply to medical school. It was during this time that he started singing with the other members of Zebrahead. Daniel Palmer (born 14 August 1978) is an English guitarist. He was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, and now lives in Whittier, California, United States. He is the lead guitarist of the bands Death By Stereo (since Oct 1999) and Zebrahead (since 2013). Palmer is a longtime user of Fernandes Guitars. Darling Thieves, formerly known as I Hate Kate, is an American alternative rock band from Huntington Beach, California, United States. The band was formed in November 2004 by former Zebrahead frontman Justin Mauriello. History Justin Mauriello started I Hate Kate in 2004, while still in Zebrahead, as a creative outlet.
