Zdzisław Jan Ryn
Zdzisław Jan Ryn (21 October 1938 – 6 February 2022) was a Polish diplomat. He served as Polish ambassador to Chile from 1991 to 1997 and Ambassador to Argentina from 2007 to 2008. Jan Ryn died in Kraków on 6 February 2022, at the age of 83. Szczyrk
Szczyrk (german: Schirk) is a town in the Beskid Śląski mountains of southern Poland, situated in the valley of the Żylica river. It is part of the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously being part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship (1975–1998). Jacek Andrzej Bazański (born 11 August 1958, Warsaw) is a Polish diplomat. He was serving as the Polish ambassador to Argentina (2010–2015) and Kenya (2018–2023). Daniel Passent (28 April 1938 – 14 February 2022) was a Polish journalist and writer. He was the author of the ''En passant'' blog, which was appearing as a column in a Polish weekly ''Polityka''. Biography Passent was born in Stanisławów, Poland (modern-day Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine). As a Jewish child he was saved from the Holocaust by a Polish family. Passent studied journalism at the University of Warsaw, Saint Petersburg State University, Princeton University, and Harvard University in the 1950s and 1960s. He first wrote for a communist youth magazine '' Sztandar Młodych'' in his sophomore year at the University of Warsaw in 1956.
