Zane Trew
Zane Trew (born 26 April 2002) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Trew was drafted by the Eagles at pick 12 in the 2021 rookie draft. Early life Trew played junior football for Hills Rangers Junior Football Club, becoming the first Australian Football player from Hills Rangers to be drafted to an AFL team. He was educated at Swan Christian College, where Trew's mother teaches. Despite living in Western Australia, Trew barracked for the Sydney Swans growing up. Trew was a talented junior, representing Western Australia in the 2018 Under 16 national championships, and being named in the Midfield in the 2018 Under 16 All Australian Team, averaging 18.7 disposals. Swan Districts Football Club
The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The club is based at Bassendean Oval, in Bassendean, an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1932, and joined the then-Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) in 1934, acting as a successor to the Midland Junction Football Club, which had disbanded during World War I, in the Perth Hills region. History Swan Districts finished seventh on the WANFL ladder winning seven out of 21 games in their debut season in 1934. Josh Kennedy (footballer, Born 1987)
Joshua J. Kennedy (born 25 August 1987) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for Carlton from 2006 to 2007 and is regarded as one of the best key-forwards of his generation. Kennedy is originally from Melbourne but grew up in Northampton, Western Australia. He played football for East Fremantle in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before being drafted to Carlton with the fourth pick in the 2005 National Draft. After two seasons at Carlton, he was traded to West Coast at the end of the 2007 season as part of a deal involving club captain Chris Judd. Callum Jamieson (born 31 July 2000) is an Australian rules footballer, playing for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Jamieson grew up in the Beachside suburb of Trigg, leading to a love of surfing from a young age. He spent his junior days playing for North Beach Junior Football Club and attended Newman College. Jamieson originally wanted to become a professional surfer or pilot, but both these dreams couldn't be achieved due to his size. Jamieson started his football career as a Key Forward. Nicholas Mark Naitanui (; born 4 May 1990) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was born in Sydney to Fijian parents, and his family moved to Perth, Western Australia after his father's death. 2022 WAFL Season
The 2022 WAFL season is the 138th season of the various incarnations of the West Australian Football League (WAFL).The season commenced on the 15th of April, and concluded with the Grand Final on the 1st of October, with West Perth defeating Claremont at Leederville Oval by 12 points. Fixtures were released in stages, to allow for COVID flexibility. The first stage saw the first nine rounds of the season be released, rounds 10-14 were released before the start of Round 7 (3 June), and the final rounds (14-20) were released on July 8, before the start of Round 12.
