Girolamo Zanchi
Girolamo Zanchi (Latin "Hieronymus Zanchius," thus Anglicized to "Jerome Zanchi/Zanchius"; February 2, 1516 – November 19, 1590) was an Italian Protestant Reformation clergyman and educator who influenced the development of Reformed theology during the years following John Calvin's death. Life He was born the son of a noble lawyer and historian, in Alzano Lombardo near Bergamo. His father died in the plague of 1528 and his mother died only three years later. At age 15 he entered the monastery of the Augustinian Order of Regular Canons, where he studied Aristotle, languages and divinity. After completing his studies, he went to Lucca, and there under the influence of Peter Martyr Vermigli he opted for a theological career, being especially impressed by Vermigli's lectures on Romans. In addition to works of the Fathers, he became aware of Martin Bucer and Philipp Melanchthon, also read Martin Luther's writings and the Swiss reformers. Zanchi (cymbals)
Zanchi (later spelled ''Zanki'') is an Italian brand of cymbals. The brand was made between 1947 till around the mid 1990s, and was noted for its 'Vibra' cymbals. History Italian cymbal-maker, Fiorello Zanchi, reputedly started out working for the Tronci family of cymbal/pipe organ makers in the 1920s, according to Pinksterboer.Pinksterboer, Hugo ''The Cymbal Book''. Milwaukee: Hal Leonard, 1992 Per the same source, it is said that Fiorello started his own workshop, Zanchi, in 1947, and began producing handmade, hand-hammered cymbals. However, to date none of these pre-50s Zanchis have shown themselves on the market (see below). Zanchi cymbals were marketed primarily in Europe. Fiorello and Figli (Fiorello Zanchi and Sons) were responsible for all Zanchi cymbals. They changed the spelling to Zanki to prevent foreigners from mispronouncing the name. Antonio Zanchi
Antonio Zanchi (; 6 December 1631 – 12 April 1722) was an Italian painter of the Baroque, active mainly in Venice, but his prolific works can also be seen in Padova, Treviso, Rovigo, Verona, Vicenza, Loreto, Brescia, Milano, and Bergamo, as well as Bavaria. His masterpieces were the canvas on the ''Plague of Venice'' painted for the Scuola di San Rocco and the ceiling on the ''Crowning of the Virgin Mary with St. Girolamo Miani'' (1703) in the Patriarchal Seminary of Venice, next to the Church of Santa Maria della Salute. He also painted a number of canvases for the Venetian church of Santa Maria del Giglio. Marco Zanchi
Marco Zanchi (born 15 April 1977) is a retired Italian footballer who played as a defender. Career Born in San Giovanni Bianco, Zanchi made his professional debut with Atalanta in 1994. He appeared in 19 games before 1996, when he transferred to Bari. He played very little in Bari, playing only 6 games before he was acquired by Udinese. Over 3 seasons there, Marco played in 42 matches. In 2000, he was on the Italian U-21 squad for the UEFA U-21 Championships. Zanchi was also on the Italian Squad for the Football at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He was acquired by Juventus in 2000. As part of the deal, Udinese got Morgan De Sanctis outright. On 16 July 2012, he retired and began to work as an assistant coach with Vicenza, alongside Roberto Breda, and later Alessandro Dal Canto. On 15 July 2013, he became the assistant coach for Unione Venezia alongside Dal Canto once again. On 15 July 2014, he was appointed the new head coach of the "Allievi Nazionali" Vicenza Youth squad.
