Zakia Hamdani Meghji (born 31 December 1946) is a Tanzanian Tanzania (; ), officially the United Republic of Tanzania ( sw, Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania), is a country in East Africa within the African Great Lakes region. Islam in Tanzania is the second largest religion in the country behind Christianity. According to a 2020 estimate by Pew research center, Muslims represent 34.1% of the total population.
