Zak Seddon
Zak William Seddon (born 28 June 1994) is an English runner specialising in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He competed for Great Britain but didn't make the finals of the 2017 World Championships. He won a gold medal at the 2013 European Junior Championships. Early life Zak William Seddon was born in Berkshire, the second of four children to Jeffrey and Kathryn (née Beards). His younger brother is the Oxford United footballer Steve Seddon. He also has an older sister, Danielle, and a younger brother, Matthew. Twyford, Berkshire
Twyford is a large village and civil parish in the English royal county of Berkshire, with a population of 6,618 people. It is in the Thames Valley at on the A4 between Reading and Maidenhead, close to Henley-on-Thames and Wokingham. History The village's toponym is Anglo-Saxon in origin, and means ''double ford''. Athletics At The 2010 Summer Youth Olympics
At the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, 36 athletics events were contested – 18 for boys and 18 for girls – on 17–19 and 21–23 August 2010. The events took place in Bishan Stadium, Singapore. Athletes born between January 1, 1993, and December 31, 1994, were eligible to compete. Continents selected their athletes through Youth Continental Championships (Continental Youth Olympic Trials). While most events mirrored those at the Summer Olympic Games, some events were distinct from the Games' senior counterpart. A 1000 metres race was scheduled in place of the more traditional 800/1,500 metres races. The steeplechase was held over 2000 m, instead of the seniors' 3000 m distance, and the competition featured a medley relay with legs of 100 m, 200 m, 300 m and 400 m (in the Swedish style). 2018 European Athletics Championships
The 2018 European Athletics Championships were held in Berlin, Germany, from 6 to 12 August 2018. The championships were part of the first European Championships with other events happening in the United Kingdom. For the second Championships in a row the Russian team did not participate; this was due to the suspension of the All-Russia Athletic Federation by the International Association of Athletics Federations. However, several athletes were cleared by the IAAF to compete as Authorised Neutral Athletes under the flag of the European Athletic Association. The 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes qualifying as juniors (born 1993 or later) which was held at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, on 10–15 July 2012. Athletics At The 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games
Athletics was one of the seven sports of the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games. Held between 9 and 11 September, the events were staged at the National Sports Centre in Douglas, Isle of Man. A total of 34 athletics events were contested, 17 for both boys and girls. Racewalking and pole vault events were scheduled for both sexes, but did not take place due to lack of entries. Over the course of the three-day tournament 11 Commonwealth Youth Games records were set or improved. Strong tailwinds affected both the sprint events and horizontal jumps. Each Commonwealth Games Association sent up to two athletes per event, including one relay team. The age of participating athletes was limited to 16- and 17-year-olds only.
