D1 Road (Croatia)
The state road D1 ( hr, Državna cesta D1) is a national highway in Croatia. It is a one-lane highway that spans from Macelj border crossing in the north via Krapina, Zagreb, Karlovac, Slunj, Gračac, Knin, Sinj, ending in Split. It is long overall. Before the A1 and A2 dual carriage motorways have been completed (in 2005 and 2007 respectively), the D1 was probably the busiest road during the summer in Croatia as it connected the northern border as well as the city of Zagreb with the tourist resorts at the Adriatic Sea. Since then, the traffic has waned significantly, but the D1 remains relevant as an alternative to the tolled highways. Jastrebarsko (; hu, Jaska), colloquially known as Jaska, is a town in Zagreb County, Croatia. History Antiquity In 1865, remnants of a Roman settlement were uncovered in Repišće, Klinča Sela, a village in Jastrebarsko metropolitan area. Further archeological investigation in the late 20th century classified them as a villa rustica and a necropolis consisting of six tumuli, both dating to the early Roman Empire period. The remnants are deemed to be the westernmost group of Noric-Pannonian tumuli and they make a very rare occasion of tombstones located directly on top of tumuli, which is in the rest of Croatia recorded only in Donji Čehi. The location of this archeological site on the fluvial terraces of the local Konjava stream is attributed to the peaceful state of the central Roman Empire, which in turn led to formation of settlements in river valleys. D310 Road (Croatia)
D310 connects the A1 motorway Jastrebarsko interchange to the city of Jastrebarsko itself. The road is long. The route comprises a significant number of urban intersections, in segment of the road running through Jastrebarsko. The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company. Traffic volume The D310 state road traffic volume is not reported by Hrvatske ceste, however they regularly count and report traffic volume on the A1 motorway Jastrebarsko interchange, which connects to the D310 road only, thus permitting the D310 road traffic volume to be accurately calculated. The report includes no information on ASDT volumes.
