Zachary Catazaro
Zachary Catazaro (born 1989) is an American ballet dancer and former principal dancer of the New York City Ballet and Bayerisches Staatsballett. Early life and education Zachary Catazaro was born in Canton, Ohio. His mother, Jennifer Catazaro Hayward, was a ballet dancer and School of American Ballet (SAB) alumna. His father, Thomas Allen Clark, was a professional ballroom dancer. Catazaro started ballet at the age of five at the Canton Ballet, while simultaneously taking gymnastics and playing basketball and baseball. He trained with his mother Jennifer Catazaro Hayward, Cassandra Crowley, and Laura Alonso, daughter of the famed Cuban dancer Alicia Alonso. In 2002 and 2003, Catazaro won First Place in the Junior Men's Division at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) in Chicago, IL, with his performances of Paquita and Don Quixote. Canton () is a city in and the county seat of Stark County, Ohio. It is located approximately south of Cleveland and south of Akron in Northeast Ohio. The city lies on the edge of Ohio's extensive Amish country, particularly in Holmes and Wayne counties to the city's west and southwest. Eleonora Abbagnato (; born 30 June 1978) is an Italian ballet dancer, model, and actress. Between 2013 and 2021 she was Étoile at the Paris Opera Ballet. Early life and education Born in Palermo, Abbagnato started dancing at 4 years old, and at 12 she moved to Monte Carlo to enroll in the dance school of Marika Bresobrasova. At 13, she toured Europe with Roland Petit's ''The Sleeping Beauty'', in the role of Aurora as a child. She was then admitted, after a private audition, to the École de Danse of the Paris Opera as a fellowship student. ''The Nutcracker and the Four Realms'' is a 2018 American fantasy adventure film directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston based on a screenplay by Ashleigh Powell. It is a retelling of E. T. A. Hoffmann's 1816 short story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" and Marius Petipa's and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 1892 ballet ''The Nutcracker'', about a young girl who is gifted a locked egg from her deceased mother and sets out in a magical land to retrieve the key.
