Zac Bailey
Zachary Bailey (born 23 September 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Brisbane with their second selection and fifteenth overall in the 2017 national draft. He made his debut in the ninety-three point loss to at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in round four of the 2018 season. In round three of 2021, Bailey kicked the match winning goal after the siren to win the game against Collingwood at Marvel Stadium, this came a week after he tackled Geelong’s Mark Blicavs in last few seconds in the game at GMHBA Stadium that was controversially not paid holding the ball to Bailey. Kicks After The Siren In Australian Rules Football
In Australian rules football, if a player takes a mark or is awarded a free kick before the siren sounds to end a quarter, and the siren sounds before the player takes a set shot, the player is allowed to take the kick after the siren. Often, the result of this kick is of little consequence, but if the player is within range of goal, any score will count towards the final result. Mark Blicavs ( ; born 28 March 1991) is a professional Australian rules footballer for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He made his debut for the club in round one of the 2013 AFL season. Early life Blicavs' parents were both born overseas – his father was born in New Zealand to Latvian parents, and his mother was born on the isle of Jersey. Both of his parents represented Australia at basketball. His father Andris Blicavs played at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and his mother Karen Ogden was a member of the team that competed at the 1983 World Championships.
