Benjamin Zablocki
Benjamin Zablocki (January 19, 1941 – April 6, 2020) was an American professor of sociology at Rutgers University where he taught sociology of religion and social psychology. He published widely on the subject of charismatic religious movements, cults, and brainwashing. Early life and education Born in Brooklyn, New York, Zablocki received his B.A. in mathematics from Columbia University in 1962 and his Ph.D. in social relations from the Johns Hopkins University in 1967, where he studied with James S. Coleman. Career Zablocki was the Sociology department chair at Rutgers University. He published widely on the sociology of religion. Zablocki was a supporter of what he called 'the brainwashing hypothesis'. Other scholars, Zablocki noted, commonly mistake brainwashing for both a recruiting and a retaining process, when it is merely the latter. Courtney Zablocki
Courtney Zablocki (born January 28, 1981) is an American luger who competed on the World Cup luge circuit from 1997 to 2010 and competed in eight World Championships. Competing in two Winter Olympics, she earned her best finish of fourth place in the women's singles event at Turin in 2006, missing a medal placement by only .392 of a second. Zablocki's best finish at the FIL World Luge Championships was ninth in the women's singles event at Nagano in 2004. Born in Hinsdale, Illinois, she resided in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Franciszek Zabłocki
Franciszek Zabłocki (2 January 1754, Volhynia – 10 September 1821, Końskowola), is considered the most distinguished Polish comic dramatist and satirist of the Enlightenment period. He descends from an old aristocratic family of Poland with coat of arms Łada. He translated many French comedies, among others those by Molière, but also wrote his own plays concentrating on Polish issues. From 1774, he worked in the Commission for National Education and in 1794, he took part in the Kościuszko Uprising. During the next year he gave up literature and became a priest. Literary career Zabłocki's literary career began with the publication of his work in the Polish literary magazine ' ("Pleasant and Useful Amusements"). Wojciech Zabłocki
Wojciech Mikołaj Zabłocki (6 December 1930 – 5 December 2020) was a Polish architect and fencer, specialist in the saber modality. Sports career Zabłocki participated in four Olympic Games: 1952 Helsinki, 1956 Melbourne, 1960 Rome, 1964 Tokyo and won two silver (1956, 1960) and one bronze medal (1964) in team sabre fencing. He participated in the FIE World Championships in Fencing and won four gold (team: 1959, 1961, 1962, 1963), one silver (team: 1954) and four bronze medals (individual: 1961; team: 1953, 1957, 1958). Zabłocki won the Polish fencing championships five times. He was a member of MKS Katowice, Budowlani Kraków, Krakowski Klub Szermierzy (KKSz) and Marymont Warszawa teams.
