Zabak
''Zabak'' is a 1961 Hindi/Urdu action costume drama film produced and directed by Homi Wadia for his Basant Pictures under the Wadia Productions banner. The story and dialogue were by C. L. Cavish, with screenplay by JBH Wadia. The music composer was Chitragupta, with lyrics by Prem Dhawan. The cast of the film included Shyama, Mahipal, Sahira, Achala Sachdev, Manhar Desai, Muzaffar Adeeb and Krishna Kumari. The film was a costume drama about a middle-class man in love with a princess. He joins the dacoits to avenge his father's death. This film was remade in Tamil with the title ''Arabu Naattu Azhagi''. Music was composed by Vijayabaskar. Plot Hajji (Mahipal) is a carefree young man in love with the princess Zainab (Shyama). His father is a middle-class man who runs a Hamam (Bath house). Mahipal (1919 -2005) was an Indian actor who worked in bollywood mostly in stunt films like ''Parasmani, Zabak, Cobra Girl, Jantar Mantar, Arabian nights themed movies such as Alibaba and 40 Thieves, Aladdin Aur Jadui Chirag, Roop Lekha, Sunehari Nagin'', Hindu mythological movies like ''Sampoorna Ramayan, Ganesh Mahima, Veer Bhimsen, Jai Santoshi Maa''. Chitragupta (composer)
Chitragupt Shrivastava (16 November 1917 – 14 January 1991), better known as Chitragupt, was an Indian film music director in Hindi cinema and Bhojpuri cinema. Personal life He was born in Sawreji, a village located in Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar (now in Gopalganj district). His sons, Anand and Milind Shrivastava, are also Bollywood music directors. Career He mostly worked with lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri. Also the song "Machalti Hui Hawa Mein Chham Chham" sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar from "Ganga Ki Lahrein" was a hit. Homi Wadia
Homi Wadia (22 May 1911 – 10 December 2004) was an Indian film director and producer in Bollywood (Hindi cinema). He was the co-founder of Wadia Movietone productions, established in 1933 and later after the closure of Wadiatone, he founded Basant Pictures in 1942. In a career spanning five decades, he directed over 40 films, including ''Hunterwali'' (1935), ''Miss Frontier Mail'' (1936), '' Diamond Queen'' (1940), Shri Ram Bhakta Hanuman(1948) and fantasy film ''Hatim Tai'' (1956). He was also a founding member of the Film & Television Producers Guild of India, established in 1954. Homi Wadia was married to actress and stunt woman Fearless Nadia. Shyama (born Khurshid Akhtar; 7 June 1935 – 14 November 2017) was an Indian actress who appeared in Hindi films. She was active between 1945 and 1989. She is best known for her roles in ''Aar Paar'' (1954 film) and ''Barsaat Ki Raat'' (1960 film). Career Born as Khurshid Akhtar in Lahore, Punjab in British India on 7 June 1935 into a Muslim family, Shyama moved to MUmbai from Lahore in the 1940s. Prem Dhawan (1923–2001) was an Indian lyricist, music composer, choreographer and actor of Bollywood known for his patriotic songs, especially for the lyrics and compositions for the 1965 Manoj Kumar starrer, ''Shaheed''.
