Z103
Z103 is the on-air brand name of several radio stations in Canada and the United States. Stations using this identifier broadcast within the 102.9 to 103.9 range on FM radio, and usually (but not always) have the letter Z in their call sign as the final letter. Although the letter Z is normally pronounced "zed" in Canada, Canadian "Z103" stations usually use the American "zee" pronunciation as it rhymes with "three". CIDC-FM (103.5 FM, ''Z103.5'') is a radio station licensed to Orangeville, Ontario. Owned by Evanov Communications, the station broadcasts a rhythmic contemporary format targeting the Greater Toronto Area. Its studios are located on Dundas Street West in the Eatonville neighbourhood in the Etobicoke district of Toronto. CIDC has historically been known for having a dance and electronic-leaning playlist. CIDC held a 2.0 share of the market in Numeris's Spring 2018 ratings. History The station began broadcasting on June 24, 1947 on AM 1440. CKMM-FM (103.1 MHz) is a Top 40/CHR radio station owned by Bell Media, branded as ''103.1 Virgin Radio''. The station broadcasts from 1445 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with sister stations CFWM-FM and CFRW, while its transmitter is located at Duff Roblin Provincial Park. History On March 13, 1979, Armadale Communications was awarded a license for a new FM station in Winnipeg, to broadcast on 103.1 MHz. WMGV (103.3 FM, "Magic 103.3/95.5") is an adult contemporary music formatted radio station licensed to serve Newport, North Carolina. The station serves Eastern North Carolina with a mix of music from the 1980s, 1990s and today. History WMGV has been on the air since the early 1980s.
