Yume Ippai
Yume Ippai (ゆめいっぱい, "Full of Dreams") is a song covered by as her debut single on April 21, 1990... The lyrics were written by Aran Tomoko and the melody was composed by Tetsuro Oda. It was used as the first opening theme of the anime series '' Chibi Maruko-chan'' from January 7, 1990 to September 27, 1992. "Yume Ippai" was the only song that Sakura Momoko did not write lyrics for in the anime series. The song was used once again on December 15, 1990 as the ending soundtrack for '' Chibi Maruko-chan: The Movie''. At its peak, the song placed 50th on the Oricon Singles charts during the 1990s. After the death of Sakura Momoko in 2018, "Yume Ippai" rose to 132nd place on the chart that week. Tetsurō Oda
is a Japanese composer, record producer, and singer-songwriter. Oda gained prominence as a songwriter in Japan during the late 1980s. He composed over 50 top-ten hit singles on the Japanese Oricon chart during the 1990s, including 12 that have sold over 1 million copies. At the commercial peak of his career, Oda produced a string of popular hit songs with artists such as Zard, Wands, Deen, and Field of View. He also discovered and collaborated with Nanase Aikawa, one of the best-selling Japanese female pop icons from the latter half of the 1990s. Oda has embarked on his own solo career since the 1980s, achieving mainstream success with the help of contributions from other artists. Chibi Maruko-chan
is a shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Momoko Sakura. The series depicts the simple, everyday life of Momoko Sakura, a young girl everyone calls ''Maruko'', and her family in suburban Japan in the year 1974. Maruko is a troublemaker, and every episode recounts Maruko's trouble and how she and her friends succeed in solving the situation. The series is set in the former of Irie District (入江町), Shimizu, now part of Shizuoka City, birthplace of its author. The first story under the title "Chibi Maruko-chan" was published in the August 1986 edition of the shōjo manga magazine ''Ribon''. Momoko Sakura
(8 May 1965 – 15 August 2018) was the pen name of a Japanese manga artist from Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture. She was best known as the creator of the long-running manga ''Chibi Maruko-chan''. Biography Miki Miura, was born 8 May 1965. She revealed very little about her private life, including her real name. Sakura made her debut as an artist in 1984 and the ''Chibi Maruko-chan'' was published in ''Ribon'' from 1986 to 1996. The series, which was based on her own childhood, was set in 1974 in suburban Japan. An anime series based on the ''Chibi Maruko-chan'' aired from 1990 to 1992 while the current second series, which debuted in 1995, continues to this day. The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales. Until 2017, Oricon did not track download sales. In Japan, physical sales decreased sharply in the 2000s, while download sales hit three to four times the amount of single sales. In November 2017, Oricon introduced its first digital songs chart, separate from its main physical singles chart. In November 2018, Oricon launched a streaming chart, and introduced a combined singles chart that utilizes physical single sales, downloads, and streams.
