Younicos
Younicos was a German-American technology company that developed and sold energy storage systems and control software. The company integrated battery technologies, power electronics and control software to create systems that respond to the energy management requirements of power networks of all sizes, including micro-grids. Younicos had two primary facilities: Younicos AG in Berlin, Germany, and Younicos Inc. in Austin, Texas. It employed a total of about 130 people as of 2017. History The company was founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2005 under the name Solon Laboratories by executives of German solar manufacturer Solon. Aggreko is a global supplier of mobile and modular power, temperature control equipment and energy services, headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland. Notrees, Texas
Notrees is an unincorporated community in west-central Ector County, Texas, United States. It is located on State Highway 302, about 20 miles northwest of Odessa. The community is part of the Odessa metropolitan statistical area. The area began to develop in the 1940s following the discovery of large oil fields, including the TXL Field. Notrees was known at various times as Caprock and Strawberry. Local merchant Charles E. Brown petitioned for a post office and selected the descriptive name of Notrees. Reportedly, the community had a single native tree before it was destroyed during the construction of a Shell Oil Company " gas plant". Notrees thrived during the 1950s and 1960s. Roose
Roose or Roosecote is a suburb and ward of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. The word 'roose' is Celtic for "moor" or "heath" and the suffix 'cote' of Roosecote means "hut" or "huts" (the word 'cottage' is derived from 'cote'). Before the building of Roose Cottages and the arrival of the Cornish miners Roose was pronounced with a hard S, as in goose; now it is locally pronounced 'Rooze', due to the Cornish accent. Roose is served by Roose railway station, one of the few remaining stations on the Furness Line in the Barrow area. The ward of Roose also encompass the settlements of Rampside and Stank, as well as Piel Island and Roa Island, it extends as far north as Abbot's Wood Nature Reserve.
