Young Dr. Kildare (TV Series)
''Young Dr. Kildare'' is a syndicated medical drama television series which originally ran from September 21, 1972, for a total of 24 episodes. It was a remake of the Richard Chamberlain series ''Dr. Kildare'' which in turn was based on fictional doctor characters originally created by author Max Brand in the 1930s and previously used by MGM in a popular film series and radio drama. Plot The series centers on young intern Dr. James Kildare ( Mark Jenkins) working at the fictional large metropolitan "Blair General Hospital" and trying to learn his profession, deal with patients' problems, and win the respect of the senior Dr. Leonard Gillespie ( Gary Merrill). A medical drama is a television show or film in which events center upon a hospital, an ambulance staff, or any medical environment. Most recent medical drama (film and television), dramatic programming go beyond the events pertaining to the characters' jobs and portray some aspects of their personal lives. Pamelyn Ferdin
Pamelyn Wanda Ferdin (born February 4, 1959) is an American animal rights activist and a former child actress. Ferdin's acting career was primarily during the 1960s and 1970s, though she appeared in projects sporadically in the 1980s and later years. She began her acting career in television commercials, made 250 television shows and films and gained renown for her work as a voice actress supplying the voice of Lucy Van Pelt in ''A Boy Named Charlie Brown'' (1969), as well as in two other ''Peanuts'' television specials. Claiborne Cary (born Claiborne Leachman; February 17, 1932 – March 20, 2010) was an American actress and cabaret performer. Early life and education Cary was born Claiborne Leachman in Lone Tree, Iowa, the daughter of Cloris (née Wallace) and Berkeley Claiborne "Buck" Leachman, who worked at the family-owned Leachman Lumber Company. Marcia Rodd is an American actress. She made her film debut playing a leading role in the 1971 film ''Little Murders'', and later had supporting roles in films and television series. In 1973, she acted on Broadway in ''Shelter''. Early years The daughter of an oil company executive, Rodd was born in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of Rosetta (née Thran) and Charles C. Rodd. Pamela Payton-Wright (November 1, 1941 – December 14, 2019) was an American actress. Life and work Payton-Wright was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Eleanor Ruth (married and maiden names, née McKinley) and Gordon Edgar Payton-Wright.
