Pamela Payton-Wright
Pamela Payton-Wright (November 1, 1941 – December 14, 2019) was an American actress. Life and work Payton-Wright was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Eleanor Ruth (married and maiden names, née McKinley) and Gordon Edgar Payton-Wright. After graduating from Central High School (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), Tuscaloosa High School, she graduated from Birmingham–Southern College in 1963. She began her film career in 1972 as Rhonda on ''Corky (film), Corky''. She later joined the cast of ''Another World (TV series), Another World'' in 1979 in the role of Hazel Parker, a role she played for one year. Payton-Wright appeared in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Following numerous film roles and television appearances, Payton-Wright joined the cast of the American Broadcasting Company, ABC soap opera, ''One Life to Live'', in 1991, and was the first to play the role of sweet natured, but simple-minded Agatha "Addie" Cramer. ''Ironweed'' is a 1987 American drama film directed by Héctor Babenco. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by William Kennedy, who also wrote the screenplay. ''Look Homeward, Angel: A Story of the Buried Life'' is a 1929 novel by Thomas Wolfe. It is Wolfe's first novel, and is considered a highly autobiographical American coming-of-age story. ''Mannix'' is an American detective television series that ran from 1967 to 1975 on CBS. It was created by Richard Levinson and William Link, and developed by executive producer Bruce Geller. The title character, Joe Mannix, is a private investigator played by actor Mike Connors.
