''You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll'' is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Twisted Sister, released on June 27, 1983. The songs "The Kids Are Back", "I Am (I'm Me)," and the album's title track were released as singles. The album was certified as a Gold Album by RIAA in November 1995, for selling over 500,000 copies in the USA. Metal-rules.com put the album in their list of "The Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums" and on their list of "The Top 50 Glam Metal Albums". The title track is a new recording of the track "Can't Stop Rock and Roll" which appeared on the compilation " Son of Homegrown" in 1982. Twisted Sister
Twisted Sister was an American heavy metal band originally from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York. Their best-known songs include " We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock", both of which were associated with music videos noted for their sense of slapstick humor. Twisted Sister evolved from a band named Silver Star, and experienced several membership changes before settling on the classic lineup of Jay Jay French (guitars), Eddie "Fingers" Ojeda (guitars), Dee Snider (lead vocals), Mark "The Animal" Mendoza (bass), and A. J. Pero (drums) in 1982. It was this lineup which recorded the band's first four albums. Mark Mendoza
Mark "The Animal" Mendoza (born Mark Glickman, July 13, 1956) is an American rock bassist and a member of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister. He joined the band in 1978 after leaving the Dictators. He briefly played in Blackfoot in the early 1990s. Mendoza is also currently a member of Joe Rock and the All Stars, a Long Island band featuring frontman Joe Rock of WBAB radio, contributing bass and vocals. Eddie Ojeda
Eddie "Fingers" Ojeda (born August 5, 1955 in New York City, New York) is an American musician best known as a guitarist of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister. He was a member of the band's classic lineup. Career In the early 1970s he recorded a couple of singles with a band called SPX, with Alan Diaz, Charlie Mercado and Frank Lopez. He joined Twisted Sister in 1975, becoming one of the band's classic members along with Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Mark Mendoza and AJ Pero. Jay Jay French (born John French Segall, July 20, 1952) is an American guitarist, manager, record producer and founding member of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister. He is a columnist, author and motivational speaker who oversees licensing and intellectual property rights for the Twisted Sister brand. WBAB Homegrown Album is the first compilation album recorded for WBAB-FM in Babylon (village), New York, Babylon, New York. The album was manufactured in 1981 at PRI Record Pressing in Wyandanch, New York. It was designed to commemorate some of the station's best local acts and performances culled from the station's "Homegrown Hour" program, a show dedicated to promoting bands based on, or somehow tied to Long Island, New York.
