Yoshihito Yoshida
(born 18 February 1969 in Ogachi, Akita) is a former rugby union footballer who played for Japan. He played as a wing. Career His first match for Japan was during a test against Oxford University at Tokyo, on October 1, 1990. He played 1991 Rugby World Cup, where he scored 2 tries against Zimbabwe, at Ravenhill. He was also part of the 1995 Rugby World Cup, playing against Ireland, where he scored 2 tries and 4 conversions, and against New Zealand. His last international cap was against USA, at Osaka, on May 25, 1997. Club career He played for Isetan between 1991 and 2000. Later he played for the French side US Colomiers for two seasons. Between 2001 and 2003, he played for Sanyo Electric, the following year, he ended his career for Fukuoka Sanix Bombs. In 1992, he also played for World XV against the All Blacks. A World XV is a rugby union team organised on an unofficial, ''ad hoc'' basis and typically composed of invited players from various countries. Several World XVs have been arranged by various bodies, often to take part in celebration and testimonial games, usually against national teams, but these are not considered test matches by most nations. Fukuoka Sanix Bombs
, formerly ''Fukuoka Sanix Blues'' and ''Fukuoka Sanix Bombs'', was a Japanese rugby union team based in Munakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Founded in April 1994 (Heisei 6), the team rose rapidly through the Kyūshū leagues and was in the Top League for the first season (2003-4) as Kyūshū's sole representative, but lost a relegation battle with Kintetsu Liners 42-45 and was demoted. But Sanix managed to return to the Top League for the 2005-6 season, beating Secom Rugguts and Toyota Jido Shokki in the Top League Challenge Series 2005. In March 2022, Sanix Inc., the operators of the club, announced the disbandment of the team following the conclusion of the 2022 Japan Rugby League One season.
