Yngve Stiernspetz
Yngve Stiernspetz (27 April 1887 – 4 April 1945) was a Swedish gymnast who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He was part of the Swedish team that won the all-around Swedish system event. After graduating from a high school Stiernspetz enlisted to the Swedish artillery. He was promoted to captain in 1925, and two years later became head of the Småland Artillery Regiment. Eksjö
Eksjö is a locality and the seat of Eksjö Municipality in Jönköping County, Sweden, with 9,701 inhabitants in 2010. History The city of Eksjö most likely appeared sometime in the Middle Ages when it was the centre for the ''thing'', a regional council. It is first mentioned on April 22, 1345, under the name "Ekesiö" in an estate sale court protocol. It was given its charter in 1403 by the King Erik av Pommern. In the 16th century Eksjö was one of the six Swedish cities in the province of Småland. The others were Jönköping, Kalmar, Västervik, Växjö and Vimmerby. After the crowning of King Gustav Vasa in 1524, the partisan leader Nils Dacke led a rebellion. Dacke took control of the area and was supported by the locals, also in Eksjö. Lidingö, also known in its definite form ''Lidingön'' and as ''Lidingölandet'', is an island in the inner Stockholm archipelago, northeast of Stockholm, Sweden. The Royal Order of the Sword (officially: ''Royal Order of the Sword''; Swedish: ''Kungliga Svärdsorden'') is a Swedish order of chivalry and military decoration created by King Frederick I of Sweden on February 23, 1748, together with the Order of the Seraphim and the Order of the Polar Star. The motto of the order is in Latin: ''Pro Patria'' (which means "For Fatherland"). Awarded to officers, and originally intended as an award for bravery and particularly long or useful service, it eventually became a more or less obligatory award for military officers after a certain number of years in service. Småland Artillery Regiment
The Småland Artillery Regiment ( sv, Smålands artilleriregemente), designation A 6, was a Swedish Army artillery regiment raised in 1895. It was disbanded in 1985. The regiment was based in Jönköping. Locations and training areas Barracks On 1 October 1895, the regiment was officially formed and relocated to Gothenburg. However, an orderly room had already been organized on 25 April 1894 in Stockholm, which was then located at Svea Artillery Regiment's barracks on Valhallavägen. In Gothenburg, the regiment was stationed in the First Göta Artillery Regiment's former barracks at Kaserntorget 11 in Otterhällan (after 1904 known as Kungshöjd). On 6 April 1898, the regiment officially moved into the newly built barracks area on Kompanigatan 6 in Jönköping. However, the move to Jönköping had been going on since 4 February 1898.
