Yngvar Numme
Yngvar Numme (born 1 October 1944 in Porsgrunn, Norway) is a Norwegian singer, actor, revue writer and director. He is particularly known for his central role in the show group Dizzie Tunes for about forty years, one of the most successful ensembles in Norwegian entertainment. He was awarded the Leonard Statuette in 1990, and Dizzie Tunes received the same award in 1993. He also voiced in the animated film, "Løvenes Konge" (Norwegian version of ''The Lion King'') and voiced for The Chronicler in the Norwegian dub for '' The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon'' video game released in 2008. Numme is also father to Thomas Numme Thomas Numme (born 28 February 1970) is a Norwegian television personality. Dizzie Tunes
Dizzie Tunes was a Norwegian musical show group from the city of Skien. Dizzie Tunes was one of the most successful in Norwegian show business. Biography The group was founded as the dance band ''Rex Band'' in 1959, was named ''Dizzie Tunes'' in 1962, and disbanded in 2002. The regular group members were Yngvar Numme, Svein-Helge Høgberg, Øyvind Klingberg, Tor Erik Gunstrøm and Einar Idland. Their record debut came in 1963 with the single "Mette Mette Mette". Their first album was called ''Dizzie Tunes'' (1967). Their first revue was ''Å, så heldig vi er'', staged at Chat Noir in 1966 and starring Wenche Myhre. Their next revues were ''Syv glade lerker på en blå gren'' from 1969 and ''Show før jo heller'' from 1971. In 1972 singer and actress Grethe Kausland starred at the revue ''På scenekanten'', and she later regularly performed with the group. The award is named after revue instructor, composer and director Einar Schanke, Einar Leonard Schanke (1927–1992), who was one of Norway's most important revue personalities. Porsgrunn
is a city and municipality in Telemark in the county of Vestfold og Telemark in Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Grenland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Porsgrunn. The municipality of Porsgrunn was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The town of Brevik and the rural district of Eidanger were merged into the municipality of Porsgrunn on 1 January 1964. The conurbation of Porsgrunn and Skien is considered by Statistics Norway to be the seventh-largest city in Norway. Thomas Numme (born 28 February 1970) is a Norwegian television personality. He was born in Sandefjord, a son of Yngvar Numme, and took media education at Volda University College. He worked in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation on P3 radio and with juvenile shows before switching to TV 2 in 2003. With Harald Rønneberg, he hosted the first season of ''Idol'' in 2003 and then the Friday night show '' Senkveld''. They haves also hosted the ''Spellemannprisen'' award show. In 2006 and in 2007, Numme and Rønneberg were awarded the ''Se og Hør'' readers' TV personality of the year award.
