Ymer Island ( da, Ymer Ø) is an island in northeastern Greenland. The island is a part of Northeast Greenland National Park. Ymir
In Norse mythology, Ymir (, ), also called Aurgelmir, Brimir, or Bláinn, is the ancestor of all jötnar. Ymir is attested in the ''Poetic Edda'', compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional material, in the ''Prose Edda'', written by Snorri Sturluson in the 13th century, and in the poetry of skalds. The Devil's Castle (german: Teufelsschloss) is a conspicuous mountain rising above the Kaiser Franz Josef Fjord at the SE end of Andrée Land in eastern Greenland. Dusen Fjord
Dusen Fjord or Dusén Fjord is a fjord in the NE Greenland National Park area, East Greenland. History The fjord was named in 1899 by Swedish Arctic explorer A.G. Nathorst during the expedition he led to Greenland. It was named after Per Dusén, who surveyed the mouth of the fjord. The exploration, however, was incomplete and the fjord would only be thoroughly surveyed years later by Lauge Koch and by the NSIU ''(Norges Svalbard og Ishavsundersøkelser)''. Promoted by the Arctic Trading Co., towards 1928 a number of cabins were built by the shores of this fjord, where the Norwegians had their hunting areas and fishing grounds. Suess Land is a peninsula in King Christian X Land, East Greenland. Administratively it is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park. History This peninsula was named by A.G. Nathorst after Austrian geologist Eduard Suess (1831–1914) at the time of his 1899 venture searching for traces of the lost Andrée expedition. Kaiser Franz Joseph Fjord ( da, Kejser Franz Josef Fjord; kl, Kangerluk Kejser Franz Joseph) is a major fjord system in the NE Greenland National Park area, East Greenland.
