Yeongyang Gim Clan
Yeongyang Kim clan () was one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan was in Yeongyang County, North Gyeongsang Province. According to the research in 2000, the number of Yeongyang Kim clan was 7462. Their founder was , Bureaucrat in Tang dynasty. He was dispatched to Japan as an embassy, but the ship he rode was wrecked. Then, he was naturalized in Silla. He changed his name to Nam Min () because he was given "Nam" from the region's name “ Runan ()” as a surname from Gyeongdeok of Silla. Seok jung (), a Nam Min ()'s son, was settled in Yeongyang County and began Yeongyang Kim clan using the original clan's name Kim clan. Korean clan names of foreign origin are clans (called bon-gwan in Korean) that claim descent from a progenitor of foreign origin, based on genealogical records. Authenticity The ancestral origins of many Korean clan names of foreign origin cannot be historically verified outside of a clan's own genealogical records: the ones from the Joseon period, as well as several from the Goryeo period, can be considered historical and factual, but the ones dating before the Goryeo period are impossible to confirm. Gyeongdeok Of Silla
Gyeongdeok of Silla (景德王; 742–765) was the 35th ruler of Silla and son of King Seongdeok (reigned 702–737). He succeeded his elder brother, King Hyoseong, the 34th ruler of Silla. His reign is considered a golden age in Unified Silla’s history, particularly for Buddhist art and architecture. He is noted as an intent patron of Buddhism and an influential political and religious individual. Runan County () is a county under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Zhumadian, in the southeast of Henan Province, China. Silla or Shilla (57 BCE – 935 CE) ( , Old Korean: Syera, Old Japanese: Siraki2) was a Korean kingdom located on the southern and central parts of the Korean Peninsula. Silla, along with Baekje and Goguryeo, formed the Three Kingdoms of Korea.
