Yehuda Glantz
Yehuda Julio Glantz ( he, יהודה חוליו גלאנץ; born March 19, 1958, in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a musician, composer, singer, songwriter and producer living in Jerusalem Israel. Named and recognized as Cultural Ambassador of Latin Hebrew Music from Israel to the world. Glantz is a multi-instrumentalist playing on the Charango, piano, accordion, siku, pincuyo, guitar, flute, cuatro and is also a percussionist. Yehuda has twice received the first place award in the klezmer Safed festival for his performance and compositions. In 2008, Yehuda founded the Regalim Festival in the City Center of Jerusalem. A stipend is a regular fixed sum of money paid for services or to defray expenses, such as for scholarship, internship, or apprenticeship. Doron Toister
Doron Toister (born 16 May 1957) is a cellist, pianist, composer and classical music arranger. He leads the cello group of the Israeli Rishon Lezion Symphony Orchestra and Israeli Opera Orchestra. Biography Doron Toister was born on May 16, 1957, in Durban, South Africa, where he grew up till the age of 3, when his father was being employed as an engineer in Durban's Municipality. Upon returning to Israel, his family lived in Ramat Gan, where he spent his childhood and youth. At age of 5, he began studying music and piano with his mother, who was a music teacher. Shlomo Carlebach
Shlomo Carlebach ( he, שלמה קרליבך; 14 January 1925 – 20 October 1994), known as Reb Shlomo to his followers, was a rabbi, religious teacher, spiritual leader, composer, and singer dubbed "the singing rabbi" during his lifetime. Although his roots lay in traditional Orthodox yeshivot, he branched out to create his own style combining Hasidic Judaism, warmth and personal interaction, public concerts, and song-filled synagogue services. Jerome Charles "Jerry" Weintraub (September 26, 1937 – July 6, 2015) was an American film producer, talent manager and actor whose television films won him three Emmys. He began his career as a talent agent, having managed relatively unknown singer John Denver in 1970, developing Denver's success through concerts, television specials, and film roles, including '' Oh, God!'' A telethon (a portmanteau of "television" and "marathon") is a televised fundraising event that lasts many hours or even days, the purpose of which is to raise money for a charitable, political or other purportedly worthy cause. Most telethons feature heavy solicitations for pledges (promises to donate funds at a later time) by masters of ceremonies or hosts, who are often local celebrities or media personalities combined with variety show style entertainment such as singers, bands and instrumentalists. Purim (; , ; see Name below) is a Jewish holiday which commemorates the saving of the Jews, Jewish people from Haman, an official of the Achaemenid Empire who was planning to have all of Persia's Jewish subjects killed, as recounted in the Book of Esther (usually dated to the 5th century BCE). Haman was the royal vizier to Persian king Ahasuerus (Xerxes I or Artaxerxes I; "Khshayarsha" and "Artakhsher" in Old Persian, respectively). His plans were foiled by Mordecai of the tribe of Benjamin, and Esther, Mordecai's cousin and adopted daughter who had become queen of Persia after her marriage to Ahasuerus.
