Yaron Zelekha
Yaron Zelekha ( he, ירון זליכה, born 20 July 1970) is an Israeli economist and political figure who heads the New Economic Party. Biography Zelekha was born to History of the Jews in Iraq, Iraqi-Jewish immigrants and grew up in Ramat Gan. His father was a branch manager for Bank Leumi. After completing high school, Zelekha did his military service in the Israel Defense Forces in the Research Department (Aman), Research Department of the Military Intelligence Directorate (Israel), Military Intelligence Directorate. Ehud Olmert (; he, אֶהוּד אוֹלְמֶרְט, ; born 30 September 1945) is an Israeli politician and lawyer. He served as the 12th Prime Minister of Israel from 2006 to 2009 and before that as a cabinet minister from 1988 to 1992 and from 2003 to 2006. Between his first and second stints as a cabinet member, he served as mayor of Jerusalem from 1993 to 2003. Legislative elections were held in Israel on 23 March 2021 to elect the 120 members of the 24th Knesset. It was the fourth election in two years. Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett announced that they had formed a rotation government on 2 June 2021, which was approved on 13 June 2021. Background According to the coalition agreement signed between Likud and Blue and White in 2020, elections were to be held 36 months after the swearing-in of the 35th government, making 23 May 2023 the last possible election date.
