Yanzigang Stadium
Yanzigang Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It mainly used for campus football league and youth football championships of Guangzhou. It is the current home of Hong Kong Premier League club R&F as well as the Guangzhou Evergrande Reserves. History Yanzigang Stadium was opened in September 1985 as the training field for football in the 1987 National Games of China. It also served as a training field for the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup, 2001 National Games of China and 2010 Asian Games. It was the home stadium of Guangzhou Evergrande youth team for the 2011 China League Two. Guangzhou Evergrande Reserves moved their home stadium from Lishui Evergrande Training Base to Yanzigang Stadium in 2017. 2010 Asian Games
The 2010 Asian Games (), officially known as the XVI Asian Games () and also known as Guangzhou 2010 (), was a regional multi-sport event celebrated from November 12 to November 27, 2010 in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, although several events commenced earlier on November 7, 2010. It was the second time China had hosted the Asian Games, with the first one being Asian Games 1990 hosted in Beijing. Guangzhou's three neighboring cities, Dongguan, Foshan and Shanwei co-hosted the Games. Premier Wen Jiabao opened the Games along the Pearl River in Haixinsha Island. Haizhu District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. Geography Haizhu District is located in the southern part of Guangzhou city. Guangzhou Football Club, formerly known as Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club, is a professional Chinese football club that participates in the Chinese Super League under the license of the Chinese Football Association. The 9th National Games of China was a multi-sport event that was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China from 11–25 November 2001. The main stadium for the games was the Guangdong Olympic Stadium. A total of 345 events were contested in 30 sports – 27 were summer sports and the remaining three were skating winter sports. The games featured 8608 athletes from 45 delegations, including the various Chinese provinces and regions as well as occupational divisions (e.g. People's Liberation Army, China Railway Corporation). The 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup was the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup, the world championship for women's national association football teams. It took place in Guangdong, China from 16 to 30 November 1991.
