Yannick Bonheur
Yannick Bonheur (born 18 May 1982) is a French former competitive pair skater. He is a five-time French National Champion with three different partners: Marylin Pla, Vanessa James, and Adeline Canac. Career Partnership with Marylin Pla Bonheur competed with Marylin Pla from 2002 until 2007. They won the French National Championships three times and placed 14th at the 2006 Winter Olympics. In the 2006–2007 season, they missed the Grand Prix series as a result of Bonheur's hand injury, which occurred while practicing the triple twist and led to surgery. Partnership with Vanessa James Bonheur teamed up with Canadian/American/French skater Vanessa James in December 2007. They began competing together internationally in 2008. James / Bonheur made their Grand Prix debut at the 2008 Trophée Eric Bompard, where they placed 7th. 2011 European Figure Skating Championships
The 2011 European Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2010–11 season. Skaters competed in the categories of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The 2011 competition was held from 24 to 30 January 2011 at the PostFinance Arena in Bern, Switzerland. Qualification The competition was open to skaters from a European member nations of the International Skating Union who had reached the age of 15 before 1 July 2010. The corresponding competition for non-European skaters was the 2011 Four Continents Championships. Based on the results of the 2010 European Championships, each country was allowed between one and three entries per discipline. "Take Five" is a jazz standard composed by saxophonist Paul Desmond and originally recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet for their album ''Time Out'' at Columbia Records' 30th Street Studios in New York City on July 1, 1959. "The Pink Panther Theme" is an jazz composition by Henry Mancini written as the theme for the 1963 film ''The Pink Panther'' and subsequently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score at the 37th Academy Awards but lost to the Sherman Brothers for ''Mary Poppins''. Pink Martini
Pink Martini is an American band that was founded in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon. Group members call it a little orchestra that crosses several styles, such as classical, latin, traditional pop, and jazz. The co-lead vocalists of Pink Martini are China Forbes and Storm Large. History Thomas Lauderdale has worked in politics since his years in high school in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. He considered the music at most fundraisers loud and boring. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Annette Dytrt, also Dytrtová, (born 7 September 1983) is a German former competitive figure skater who also competed internationally for the Czech Republic. She is the 1999 Czech national champion and the 2003–06 German national champion. Personal life Annette Dytrt was born in Landshut, Germany, the daughter of Czech immigrants. She moved to the Czech Republic with her elder sister, Veronika Dytrt, in 2001 but returned to Germany after a year and a half. Career She won the 1999 Czech National Championships under the name Annette Dytrtová. Dytrt won gold at the German National Figure Skating Championships between 2003 and 2006 and made numerous appearances at the European and World Figure Skating Championships. The 2011 World Figure Skating Championships was a senior international figure skating competition in the 2010–11 season. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
