Yangon Region Government is known as Yangon Region Caretaker Government. Current Chief Minister is Hla Soe . Hla Soe's Yangon Region Administration Council(1 February 2021 – 1 August 2021 ) According to the Coup D'état on 1 February 2021 ,the former cabinet was dissolved and formed a new council by the Myanmar Military also known as Yangon Region Administrative Council. Phyo Min Thein's Yangon Region Cabinet (1 April 2016 – 31 January 2021) According to the result of the 2015 Myanmar General Election , National League for Democracy Party won with a landslide victory and formed a cabinet . Although the term of the cabinet is 5 years , this cabinet could only serve for 4 years & 307 days due to the Coup D'état on 1 February 2021. Devolved
Devolution is the statutory delegation of powers from the central government of a sovereign state to govern at a subnational level, such as a regional or local level. It is a form of administrative decentralization. Devolved territories have the power to make legislation relevant to the area, thus granting them a higher level of autonomy. Devolution differs from federalism in that the devolved powers of the subnational authority may be temporary and are reversible, ultimately residing with the central government. Naing Ngan Lin ( my, နိုင်ငံလင်း, born September 3, 1977) is a Burmese politician and former political prisoner who currently serves as a regional minister for social affairs and a Pyithu Hluttaw MP for Dekkhinathiri Township. He is a member of the National League for Democracy. Biography Naing Ngan Lin was born on September 3, 1977, in Thaton Township, Mon State to Aye Myint and Phyu. He moved to Yangon when he was about three years old. In 2006, he graduated in politics and government from Open University. After graduation, he married his life partner, Sandar Win. Aung Thein Lin ( my, အောင်သိန်းလင်း ; also spelled Aung Thein Linn) is a Burmese politician, and a member of parliament at the Pyithu Hluttaw from the South Okkalapa constituency. National Unity Party (Myanmar)
The National Unity Party (NUP) , is a political party in Myanmar (Burma). It is the successor to the Burma Socialist Programme Party (BSPP), which ruled the country from 1962 to 1988. The party's headquarters are in Bahan Township, Yangon. History The Burma Socialist Programme Party changed its name to the National Unity Party (NUP) on 24 September 1988. The NUP contested the 1990 general election and was seen as a proxy party of the Tatmadaw (military) and the main rival to Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy. Myint Swe ( my, မြင့်ဆွေ, ; born 24 May 1951) is a Burmese politician currently serving as Acting President of Myanmar as well as First Vice President. He previously served as the acting president after the resignation of President Htin Kyaw on 21 March 2018, and the chief minister of Yangon Region from 30 March 2011 to 30 March 2016. On 30 March 2016, he was sworn in as the vice president of Myanmar. He is an ethnic Mon ex-military officer in the Myanmar Army with the rank of a lieutenant general. Arakan National Party
The Arakan National Party ( my, ရခိုင်အမျိုးသားပါတီ; abbreviated ANP), is a political party in Myanmar (Burma), representing the interests of the Rakhine people in Rakhine State and Yangon Region. The party was founded on 13 January 2014 and registered with the Union Election Commission on 6 March 2014. The chairman of the ANP is Thar Htun Hla.
