Llandel Veguilla Malavé (born; January 14, 1977), known professionally as Yandel, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter and the half member of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. He released his first solo album, ''Quien Contra Mí'', in 2003. His second solo studio album, ''De Líder a Leyenda'', was released in 2013 and was certified Gold (Latin) by the RIAA in 2014. Early life and family Llandel Veguilla Malavé was born on January 14, 1977, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, the son of Julio Veguilla and Lucy Malavé. He has two siblings, a younger brother named Gadiel, who is also a singer and a sister named Linnette. Before he became a singer, Yandel worked as a barber in his hometown. Music career Yandel met Wisin in school. They began performing as a duo in 1998 (Yandel then billing himself as "Llandel") and made their album debut in 2000 with ''Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio''. ''Update'' (stylized ''#Update'') is the fourth studio album (sixth overall) by Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Yandel, released on September 8, 2017, under Sony Music Latin. It was released two years after his previous studio album, ''Dangerous (Yandel album), Dangerous''. Lyrically, ''Update'' explores themes ranging from romance, sex, and dance. Wisin & Yandel
Wisin & Yandel is a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consisting of Wisin and Yandel. They started their career in the late 1990s and have been together since, winning several awards including a Grammy Award in 2009. They became the first and the only reggaeton artists to win one. In late 2013, they announced they would take a pause in their career as a duo, after their Líderes tour. In a 2014 interview with People en Español, Yandel confirmed that the group would not be disbanding. In February 2018, following a five-year hiatus, the duo announced they would be reuniting, and are set to embark on a world tour, as well as release new music. They sold over 15 million records. ''Dangerous'' is the third studio album (fourth overall) by Puerto Rican reggaeton and pop artist Yandel, of the duo Wisin & Yandel, released worldwide on November 6, 2015 through Sony Music Latin. Contrary of his previous studio album, ''De Líder A Leyenda'', ''Dangerous'' focuses mainly on reggaeton music, with some synthpop and electropop exceptions. It features reggaeton artists including Nicky Jam, Tego Calderón, Gadiel and De La Ghetto, as well as artists from other genres like Lil Jon, Pitbull, French Montana, Future, Shaggy and Alex Sensation. Juan Luis Morera Luna (; born December 19, 1978), best known as his stage name Wisin (), is a Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper, singer and record producer, best known as a member of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. Wisin is noted for his unique and aggressive style of rapping. Career Wisin met Yandel in school. ''The One'' is the fifth studio album by Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Yandel. It was released on March 29, 2019, under Sony Music Latin. It was recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami. It was produce by Yandel and some of the biggest producers like Tainy, Nesty "La Mente Maestra", Luny Tunes among others. It is also his first album as a solo artist to not have any featured artist nor collaborations.
