Yanamayo (possibly from Quechua ''yana'' black, ''mayu'' river, "black river") is a river in the Ancash Region in Peru. Quechua Language
Quechua (, ; ), usually called ("people's language") in Quechuan languages, is an Indigenous languages of the Americas, indigenous language family spoken by the Quechua peoples, primarily living in the Peruvian Andes. Ancash Region
Ancash ( qu, Anqash; es, Áncash ) is a department and region in northern Peru. It is bordered by the departments of La Libertad on the north, Huánuco and Pasco on the east, Lima on the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Its capital is the city of Huaraz, and its largest city and port is Chimbote. The name of the region originates from the Quechua word ('light, of little weight'), from ('blue') or from ('eagle'). Huánuco Region
Huánuco (; qu, Wanuku) is a city in central Peru. It had a population of 196,627 as of 2017 and in 2015 it had a population of 175,068. It is the capital of the Huánuco Region and the Huánuco District. It is the seat of the diocese of Huánuco. The metropolitan city of Huanuco is 170,000 hab (2011, urban pop, INEI). Mariscal Luzuriaga Province
The Mariscal Luzuriaga Province (Spanish ''mariscal'' marshal) is one of 20 provinces of the Ancash Region in Peru. It was created by law 12541 on January 12, 1956 and named after the Peruvian marshal and Argentine general Toribio de Luzuriaga Since the Inca roads crossed its territory up to the Ecuador, where its capital Piscobamba is located now, there was a strategic '' tambo'' during the Inca's time. Pisqu Pampa means "bird plain" in Quechua. This place has a special attraction due to four mythical hills: Kampanayuq, Aswaq, Amañico and Wankash.
