Yago (TV Series)
''Yago'' (formerly known as ''Yago, pasión y venganza'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Carmen Armendáriz for Televisa. It is an adaptation (drastically changed) of the 1844 French novel, '' The Count of Monte Cristo'' by Alexandre Dumas, and is also a remake of the Turkish series, '' Ezel''. The series featured 65 episodes. The series stars Iván Sánchez as Yago, Gabriela de la Garza as Sara, Flavio Medina as Lucio and Pablo Valentín as Abel. Plot Omar, a young man from Mexico City, is betrayed by his fiancée, Sara, and two close friends, in a failed robbery plot where he was framed as the perpetrator. After being unjustly imprisoned for 11 years and faking his death to escape during a prison riot, he undergoes plastic surgery to alter his appearance and plots revenge under his new identity, "Yago". Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Adrián Alonso Barona (born April 6, 1994) is a Mexican actor. As a child actor, he was best known for the movie ''The Legend of Zorro''. Grupo Televisa is a Mexican multimedia mass media company. A major Latin American mass media corporation, it often presents itself as the largest producer of Spanish-language content. In April 2021, Televisa and Univision Communications announced that they had proposed a merger between Televisa's media and entertainment assets with Univision, which would form a new company to be known as TelevisaUnivision. The 35th TVyNovelas Awards is an academy of special awards to the best of soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on March 26, 2017. Las Estrellas ("The Stars"; previously El Canal de las Estrellas, or "The Channel of the Stars") is one of the cornerstone networks of TelevisaUnivision, with affiliate stations all over Mexico, flagshipped at XEW-TDT in Mexico City. ''Tres veces Ana'' (''The Three Sides of Ana'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Angelli Nesma Medina for Televisa. It is a remake of ''Lazos de amor'' produced in 1995. It premiered on May 23, 2016. The series stars Angelique Boyer as Ana Lucía, Ana Laura and Ana Leticia, Sebastián Rulli as Santiago and Marcelo, David Zepeda as Ramiro, Susana Dosamantes as Ernestina, Blanca Guerra as Soledad, Pedro Moreno as Iñaki, and Eric del Castillo as Evaristo.
