Lakeland Airlines (IATA—YQ) was founded in 1980 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. It served at various times 11 cities, with commuter service to Minneapolis (MSP), Superior (SUW), Ashland (ASX), Hayward (HYR), Rice Lake (RIE), Eau Claire (EAU), Madison (MSN), Milwaukee (MKE), Chicago (ORD), Wisconsin Rapids (ISW), and Rhinelander (RHI). The Fleet consisted of Cessna 402s and de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otters. Lakeland ceased service in 1984. CJSC «Polet Airlines» (russian: ЗАО «Авиакомпания „Полёт“», ''ZAO «Aviakompániya "Polyót"»'') was an airline based in Voronezh, Russia. It operated a worldwide cargo and domestic passenger charter services from Voronezh, as well as regional passenger and cargo services from Sokol. It was one of two airlines which flew the Antonov An-124 Ruslan, the world's highest gross weight cargo airplane which specialises in oversized freight. Its collapse, over lease payments for these massive aircraft, left only the Volga-Dnepr Airlines/Antonov Airlines joint partnership in this market. Its main base was Chertovitskoye Airport, Voronezh. Young Quaker
Young Friends General Meeting (YFGM) is the national organisation for young Quakers (from 18 to 30-ish) in the United Kingdom. The name refers both to the organisation and to the General Meetings which are held in February, May and October each year, in various Quaker Meeting Houses in Britain. The organization also publishes a tri-annual magazine entitled The Young Quaker. History The Young Friends Movement in the United Kingdom emerged in the first decade of the twentieth Century, inspired by John Wilhelm Rowntree and led by Neave Brayshaw. The first National Conference of Young Friends was held in August 1911. Among the first generation were many conscientious objectors, who suffered badly during the Great War. The movement has influenced Britain Yearly Meeting strongly during the twentieth century, for instance on the issue of ethical investments. The Yukon Quest, formally the Yukon Quest 1,000-mile International Sled Dog Race is a sled dog race scheduled every February since 1984 between Fairbanks, Alaska, and Whitehorse, Yukon. Because of the harsh winter conditions, difficult trail, and the limited support that competitors are allowed, it is considered the "most difficult sled dog race in the world", or even the "toughest race in the world"—"even tougher, more selective and less attention-seeking than the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race." The originator envisioned it as "a race so rugged that only purists would participate." In the competition, first run in 1984, a dog team leader (called a musher) and a team of 6 to 14 dogs race for 10 to 20 days.
