YB Music
YB Music is an independent record label established in São Paulo, Brazil. It started in 1999, releasing music from new underground artists as well as revival acts. Its catalog includes different syles of Brazilian music featuring hip hop, samba-rock revisited by (Trio Mocotó), electronic music (Anvil FX), instrumental music including classical music and jazz ( Sujeito a Guincho, Quarteto Camargo Guarnieri, Nouvelle), (Curumin, Instituto), and mangue beat from Recife. The label was responsible for the first album by Nação Zumbi after the death of their frontman Chico Science. The label received in 2001, 2005 and 2012 the APCA (São Paulo Art Critics Association) prize with the releases of Samba Rock (Best Group - Trio Mocotó), Samba Power (Best Album) and Badi Assad (Best Composer) respectively. Robson Pélico (born 31 January 1976), known simply as Pélico (), is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Career Although Pélico began performing music in the 1990s, and even recorded an album titled ''Melodrama'' (Dicionário Cravo Albin da Música Popular Brasileira) in 2003 (calls early album "renegado"), his musical career began in 2006. Pélico's first album ' was released by Monga Records / Tratore in 2008. Pélico's album ' was released by YB Music on 16 July 2011. All sixteen tracks on the album were written by Pélico; two songs, "" and "", have additional writing credit to Cristiane Lisbôa and Estêvão Bertoni, respectively. Mariana Aydar is a Brazilian singer of MPB (Brazilian popular music). Biography She was born in São Paulo in 1980 in a family of musicians. Her father, Mário Manga, was a member of the group Premê, and her mother Bia Aydar, was the producer of several Brazilian artists, including Lulu Santos and Luiz Gonzaga. Mariana Aydar spent nine months in Paris in 2004, in order to study music, and met the Brazilian singer Seu Jorge there. ''Mango Yellow'' ( pt, Amarelo Manga) is a 2002 Brazilian drama film directed by Cláudio Assis. It stars Matheus Nachtergaele, Jonas Bloch, Dira Paes, Chico Díaz, and Leona Cavalli as working-class people who engage in amorous and social encounters, with most of the action taking place in a hotel and a bar. Walter Franco (6 January 1945 – 24 October 2019) was a Brazilian singer and composer. In 1998 he contributed to the Rosa Passos album '' Especial Tom Jobim''. His 1975 album ''Revolver'' was No. 50 on ''Rolling Stone''s list of the Top 100 Brazilian albums. Franco died on 24 October 2019 after spending two weeks in hospital following a stroke. He was 74.
