Yuz Museum Shanghai
The Yuz Museum Shanghai (Chinese: 余德耀美术馆) is a non-profit organization under the umbrella of the Yuz Foundation. It is located in the West Bund in Xuhui District, Shanghai. Yuz is reconstructed from the hangar of the original Longhua Airport and designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. Among the buildings with a total area of more than 9000 square meters, the main gallery alone accounts for more than 3000 square meters. Its enormous and unique structure perfectly complement the installations of YUZ collection. Since its establishment and opening on May 17, 2014, Yuz museum has become a new landmark of Shanghai. Visiting Yuz Museum will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Monday). No parking space available. Yang Fudong
Yang Fudong ( born 1971 in Beijing) is a Chinese contemporary artist. In the early 1990s, he began to work with film. He began creating films and videos using 35 mm film. Currently Yang directs films, creates photographs, and creates video installations. ''Rain Room'' is a 2012 experiential artwork by Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass of Random International, which found its first permanent installation in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in 2018. The piece had previously shown in a number of international art venues, including New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and London's Barbican. Description ''Rain Room'' allows visitors to the installation to walk through a downpour without getting wet. Alberto Giacometti (, , ; 10 October 1901 – 11 January 1966) was a Swiss sculptor, painter, draftsman and printmaker. Sun Xun (born 1980) is a Chinese artist who works across many mediums including but not limited to acrylic, ink, pastel, traditional animation, and many forms of printmaking like woodcut. Mira Dancy (born 1979) is an American painter. Dancy is known for her paintings on plexiglass of nudes, often executed in bright fluorescent colors.
