Yuya Sato (novelist)
is a Japanese novelist from Hokkaido Prefecture. He won the 21st Mephisto Prize for ''Flicker Style'', and the 20th Yukio Mishima Prize for ''1000 Novels and Backbeard''. His works have been translated into English, Chinese and Korean. Kenzaburō Ōe, Kenji Nakagami and especially J. D. Salinger affected Sato's style. Noma Literary Prize
The Noma Literary Prize (''Noma Bungei Shō'') was established in 1941 by the Noma Service Association (''Noma Hōkō Kai'') in accordance with the last wishes of Seiji Noma (1878–1938), founder and first president of the Kodansha publishing company. It is awarded by the Noma Cultural Foundation, the largest single shareholder in Kodansha. The Noma Literary Prize has been awarded annually to an outstanding new work published in Japan between October and the following September. Licca-chan
, full name , is a dress-up doll series introduced in Japan on July 4, 1967 by Takara, enjoying the same kind of popularity in Japan as the Barbie series does in the United States. Takara had sold over 48 million Licca-chan dolls as of 2002, and over 53 million as of 2007. Licca-chan was created by former shōjo manga artist, Miyako Maki, who is also the wife of Leiji Matsumoto. Takara has provided an extensive background story for the Licca-chan doll, including an age (11), where she attends school, names and occupations for her parents, and her favorite books ('' Anne of Green Gables'' and ''A Little Princess''). Licca-chan also likes ''Doraemon''. Danganronpa
is a Japanese video game franchise created by Kazutaka Kodaka and developed and owned by Spike Chunsoft (formerly Spike). The series primarily surrounds various groups of apparent high school students who are forced into murdering each other by a robotic teddy bear named Monokuma. Gameplay features a mix of adventure, visual novel, detective and dating simulator elements. The first game, '' Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc'', was released for the PlayStation Portable in 2010. The original scenario was written by Kodaka, who aimed to create a dark adventure game. The original concept was rejected for being too gruesome, but it was later approved after retooling.
