Yury Bezdudny
Yury Vasilyevich Bezdudny (Russia: Юрий Васильевич Бездудный; born on 1 May 1969), is a Russian statesman who is currently the 9th Governor of Nenets Autonomous Okrug since 13 September 2020. He is the Acting Secretary of the Nenets Regional Branch of the United Russia Party since 3 December 2021. Biography Yury Bezdudny was born on 1 May 1969 in Bryansk Oblast. Since 1987, he has been in the service of the state security bodies of the Soviet Union and Russia. In 1991 he graduated from the Oryol Higher Military Command School of Communications named after M. I. Kalinin. In 2001, he studied at the Oryol Regional Academy of Public Administration, and later, the Moscow Psychological and Social Institute. He has a master's degree in business administration. In 2007, Bezdudny was appointed deputy head of the Bryansk City Administration. The governor of Nenets Autonomous Okrug (russian: Губернатор Ненецкого автономного округа) is the head of the executive branch of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, a federal subject of Russia located in the north-west of the country's European part. Naryan-Mar (russian: Нарья́н-Мар; Nenets: Няръянa марˮ, ''Njarjana marꜧ'', literally "red town") is a sea and river port town and the administrative center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. The town is situated on the right bank of the Pechora River, upstream from the river's mouth, on the Barents Sea. Naryan-Mar lies north of the Arctic Circle. Population: 17,000 (1973). About half of the population of Nenetsia lives in the city. History Industrial development in the area around Naryan-Mar began in 1930, in the course of the first five-year plan of the Soviet Union.
