Yuriy Gurin
Yuriy Gurin (born 7 May 1966 in Berezne, Ukrainian SSR) is a Soviet sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. 1987 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships

Berezne
Berézne ( uk, Бере́зне, russian: Берёзно, pl, Bereźne) is a city in Rivne Oblast, Ukraine, located on the Sluch River north of Rivne. It is the administrative centre of the Berezne Raion. Population: Overview Berezne (historically known also as Bereźno as well as pl, Jędrzejów, and uk, Андріїв) was established in 1446 within the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Since the Union of Lublin the town was part of the Kingdom of Poland, where it remained until the Partitions of Poland by Austria, Prussia and Russia. ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships
The ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships are an international event in canoe racing, one of two Summer Olympic sport events organized by the International Canoe Federation (the other being the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships). The World Championships have taken place every non-Olympic year since 1970 and officially included paracanoe events since 2010; since 2012, paracanoe-specific editions of this event (named ICF Paracanoe World Championships) have been held in Summer Paralympic years.
