Yun Chol (born 21 February 1966) is a North Korean weightlifter. He competed in the men's middle heavyweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead: these are the snatch and the clean and jerk. The ''snatch'' is a wide-grip lift, in which the weighted barbell is lifted overhead in one motion. The Men's Middle-heavyweight Weightlifting Event (– 90 kg) is the fourth-heaviest men's event at the weightlifting competition, limiting competitors to a maximum of 90.0 kilograms of body mass.
