Yuma Tongu
is a Japanese professional baseball player for the Orix Buffaloes of Nippon Professional Baseball. He plays catcher and infielder, specifically on every infield position outside of shortstop. In elementary school, Tongu was friends and teammates with future Buffaloes teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher for the Orix Buffaloes of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Gregory De Wayne "Boomer" Wells (born April 25, 1954) is an American former professional baseball player. Wells played Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays in and for the Minnesota Twins in . Professional career Yamamoto made his NPB debut on August 20, 2017 for the Orix Buffaloes. Yamamoto finished the 2021 season with an 18-5 record and 206 strikeouts across 193.2 innings pitched. Shortstop, abbreviated SS, is the baseball or softball fielding position between second and third base, which is considered to be among the most demanding defensive positions.
