Yulia Kanakina
Yuliya Artyomovna Kanakina (russian: Юлия Артёмовна Канакина; born 11 December 1995) is a Russian skeleton racer who competes on the Skeleton World Cup circuit. She began international competition in 2011, and was promoted to the World Cup squad in the 2014–15 season. Before starting skeleton, Kanakina was a ballet dancer. She was the IBSF Junior World Champion in women's skeleton for 2017 in Sigulda, and finished 26th in the senior IBSF World Championships later that year. The Winterberg bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track located in Winterberg, Germany. The Olympic Sliding Centre (올림픽 슬라이딩 센터) is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track that is located in Daegwallyeong, Pyeongchang, South Korea. The Whistler Sliding Centre (french: link=no, Centre des sports de glisse de Whistler) is a Canadian bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track located in Whistler, British Columbia, that is north of Vancouver. The centre is part of the Whistler Blackcomb resort, which comprises two ski mountains separated by Fitzsimmons Creek. Located on the lowermost slope of the northern mountain (Blackcomb Mountain), Whistler Sliding Centre hosted the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton competitions for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
