Yuichi Nakagaichi
is a former volleyball player from Japan, who played for the Japan men's national volleyball team in the 1990s. Playing at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain he ended up in 16th place at the 1998 World Championship. On 26 October, 2017, Nakagaichi became the head coach of the Japan men's national volleyball team and he retired in September 2021, after led the team finished as runners-up in 2021 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship. Controversies In November 2016, shortly after an announcement of becoming Japan men's national team new head coach, he was suspected of negligence in allegedly hitting a 41-year-old traffic guard while driving on the Chugoku Expressway in the city of Shobara, Hiroshima prefecture, on November 9. Nakagaichi told the police that he mistakenly applied the brake of his car, causing it to skid and plow into the victim, according to police officers. The 2017 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the nineteenth staging of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, the biennial international men's volleyball championship of Asia organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI). The men's tournament in volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 15th edition of the event at the Summer Olympics, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Tokyo, Japan from 24 July to 7 August 2021. It was originally scheduled to take place from 25 July to 8 August 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IOC and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee announced on 24 March 2020 that the 2020 Summer Olympics would be delayed to 2021. Because of this pandemic, all matches were played behind closed doors. France won their first gold and overall medal with a 3–2 win over the Russian team that competed as the ROC. 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League
The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League was the third edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament. The 2021 version of VNL was scheduled to start earlier than the previous edition due to the 2020 Summer Olympics in July. The competition was held between May and June 2021, and the final round took place in Rimini Fiera, Rimini, Italy. Brazil claimed their first VNL title after beating Poland in four sets. The 2019 FIVB Men's World Cup was the 14th edition of the event, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League was the second edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, an annual international men's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams. The 2018 Asian Men's Volleyball Cup, so-called 2018 AVC Cup for Men was the sixth edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Cup, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Chinese Taipei Volleyball Association (CTVA). The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body.
