Yuan Xindong
Yuan Xindong () is a retired professional wushu taolu athlete from Shanxi, China. He is a one-time world champion, and gold medalist at the 2001 East Asian Games and 2002 Asian Games. He is also a double gold medalist at the National Games of China. After his competitive career, he served as a coach of the Shanxi Wushu Team for a few years. Shanxi
Shanxi (; ; formerly romanised as Shansi) is a landlocked province of the People's Republic of China and is part of the North China region. The capital and largest city of the province is Taiyuan, while its next most populated prefecture-level cities are Changzhi and Datong. Its one-character abbreviation is "" (), after the state of Jin that existed there during the Spring and Autumn period. "Jayden" Yuan Xiaochao (; born 7 August 1988) is a retired professional wushu taolu athlete and actor from China. He was a world champion in 2005 and 2007. Career Competitive wushu Yuan started to practice martial arts in Songjiang Martial Arts School in 1998 and later joined the Shanxi Provincial Wushu Team. Yuan's international debut was at the 2005 East Asian Games where he won a bronze medal in changquan. He then appeared at the 2005 World Wushu Championships and was the world champion in changquan. Later in the year, he competed in the 2005 National Games of China and won the gold medal in men's daoshu and gunshu combined. Yuan then competed in the 2006 Asian Games and won the gold medal in men's changquan all-around. He then was a world champion once again in changquan at the 2007 World Wushu Championships. Yuan Wenqing
Yuan Wenqing (; born 1966) is a retired professional wushu taolu athlete from Shanxi, China. Nicknamed 'the prince of wushu,' he was known for his explosive speed and power, and is still widely regarded as one of the greatest wushu practitioners of all time. It is said that in the sport of wushu, the 1970s belonged to Jet Li, the 1980s to Zhao Changjun, and the 1990s to Yuan Wenqing. Career Early career Yuan started practicing wushu at around the age of eight. In 1978, he joined the Shanxi Provincial Wushu Team and began to train under Pang Lin Tai and later Zhang Ling Mei.
