Yu Jinhao
Yu Jinhao (, born 12 November 1975 in Guangzhou) is a former Chinese badminton player. Yu joined the national team in 1997. He was part of the Chinese men's team that won the silver medal at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand, and also won the bronze medal in the men's doubles event partnered with Liu Yong. He was ranked world No. 5 in the men's doubles in January 1999. Teamed with Chen Qiqiu, they competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. At the age of 25, due to injuries and other reasons, he left the national team. Yu (Chinese Surname)
Yu is the pinyin romanisation of several Chinese family names. However, in the Wade–Giles romanisation system, Yu is equivalent to You in pinyin. Liu Yong (badminton)
Liu Yong (; born 12 August 1975) is a former international level badminton player for China who specialized in mixed doubles. He is married to former singles player on the Chinese national badminton team Dai Yun. Career Liu Yong started badminton training when he was 8, and was taken into the Chinese National Team in 1993. He won numerous international titles in mixed doubles, the majority of them with Ge Fei. He won men's doubles at the 2002 Malaysia Open with Chen Qiqiu. In 2004, he joined the Unisys in Japan as a player and coach for the team. World Championships Liu won the 1997 IBF World Championships in mixed doubles, with Ge Fei, beating Jens Eriksen and Marlene Thomsen in the final. Gelora Bung Karno Sports Palace ( id, Istana Olahraga Gelora Bung Karno, abbreviated as ''Istora''), the formerly name ''Istora Senayan'' is an indoor sporting arena located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia. Ricky Subagja
Ricky Subagja (born 27 January 1971) is a former Indonesian badminton player. He was rated among the greatest doubles specialists in the sport's history. Career In 1993 the fast moving, faster hitting Subagja won men's doubles at the then biennial IBF World Championships in Birmingham, England with fellow countryman Rudy Gunawan. However, Subagja's regular partner for most of the 90s was another fellow countryman, the equally fast and hard-hitting Rexy Mainaky, and they formed the most successful team of the decade. Subagja and Mainaky won more than thirty international titles together, including all of badminton's major championships at least once. Rexy Mainaky
Rexy Ronald Mainaky (born 9 March 1968) is a former men's doubles badminton world champion from Indonesia who is often simply known as Rexy. He won the men's doubles Olympic gold medal in 1996 with Ricky Subagja. As of October 2021, he was appointed as the new deputy coaching director of the Badminton Association of Malaysia. Thammasat Stadium
Thammasat Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Rangsit, Pathum Thani, Thailand. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 25,000. It is on Thammasat University's Rangsit campus. It is located close to Bangkok. History It was built for the 1998 Asian Games by construction firm Christiani and Nielsen, the same company that constructed the Democracy Monument in Bangkok. Its appearance is that of a scaled down version of Rajamangala Stadium. The tribunes form a continuous ring which are quite low behind each goal but rise up on each side. Unlike Rajamangala though, Thammasat has a roof covering both side tribunes. Most striking about this stadium are the floodlights. Thai architects usually favour concrete pylons but these are the steel variety.
