Derec Llwyd Morgan (born as Derek Lloyd Morgan; 15 November 1943) is a Wales, Welsh academic who is a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Biography Morgan was educated at Amman Valley Grammar School, (now Ysgol Dyffryn Aman) Carmarthenshire, Wales before studying at the University College of North Wales, Bangor, for a Bachelor of Arts degree. He obtained his DPhil, doctorate with a thesis entitled A critical study of the works of Charles Edwards (1628-1691?)' from Jesus College, Oxford. He was a lecturer at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth from 1969 before moving back to the Department of Welsh language, Welsh at Bangor in 1975, rising to become Reader (academic rank), Reader (1983–1989). Mostyn Neil Hamilton (born 9 March 1949) is a British former barrister and politician who has been leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) since 2020. He was the Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Tatton from 1983 to 1997 and a UKIP Member of the Senedd (MS) for Mid and West Wales from 2016 to 2021. William David Davies (1 April 1948 – 10 February 2021) was a Welsh professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper between 1969 and 1987. The Velvet Underground was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1964. The original line-up consisted of singer/guitarist Lou Reed, multi-instrumentalist John Cale, guitarist Sterling Morrison, and drummer Angus MacLise. MacLise was replaced by Moe Tucker in 1965, who played on most of the band's recordings.
