A peak organisation or peak body is an Australian term for an advocacy group or trade association, an association of industries or groups with allied interests. They are generally established for the purposes of developing standards and processes, or to act on behalf of all members when lobbying government or promoting the interests of the members. While there is no official granting of Peak Body status, peak bodies are widely accepted as the legitimate "voice" or representative of a profession or industry, as opposed to just a geographic/commercial/cultural/political subset of that profession, as evidenced by requests for media comment and inclusion in government consultations. Hack (radio Program)
''Hack'' is the title of a current affairs radio program on Australian national radio broadcaster Triple J. The show began at the start of 2004 after a shake up of the station's programming. The previous current affairs program, ''The Morning Show'' from 9 a.m. to midday, was axed and the half-hour ''Hack'' was its replacement, from 5.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. It was hosted by Steve Cannane until mid-2006. At this point, Cannane left Triple J radio to become the current affairs reporter for their jtv program. One of Cannane's stories on ''Hack'', "Petrol Sniffing, Pill Testing and the Cost of War", earned him a Walkley Award. He won the Walkley Award for Broadcast Interviewing in 2006. Commonwealth Youth Programme
The Commonwealth Youth Programme, also known as CYP, is an international development agency working with young people between the ages of 15 and 29. Part of the Commonwealth Secretariat, CYP is active in the Commonwealth's 54 member countries. CYP has a head office in London with four centres in Africa, Lusaka, Zambia, Asia Chandigarh, India, Caribbean Georgetown, Guyana and Pacific Honiara, Solomon Islands. Currently there are Four Regional Directors and 16 programme officers plus support staff are working there.
