''Your Heart Is My Homeland'' (German: ''Dein Herz ist meine Heimat'') is a 1953 Austrian-West German drama film directed by Richard Häussler and starring Inge Egger, Erwin Strahl and Viktor Staal. It is also known as ''Magdalena Percht'' after the lead character. It is part of the trend of post-war heimatfilm. It was shot at the Bavaria Studios in Munich and on location in Salzburg. The script was written by ''Metropolis'' screenwriter Thea von Harbou. Richard Häussler (26 October 1908 – 28 September 1964) was a German actor and film director. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1936 and 1964. Eduard Von Borsody
Eduard von Borsody (; 13 June 1898 – 1 January 1970) was an Austrian cameraman, film editor, film director, and screenplay writer. Biography His film career began as a cameraman. Among his first jobs were three films on which Mihály Kertész (later Michael Curtiz) carried out the production design for the Vienna-based Sascha-Film: an Arthur Schnitzler adaptation ''Der junge Medardus'' (1923), the romance ''Fiaker Nr. 13'' and the artist's life ''Der goldene Schmetterling'' (both 1926). Later he worked with such different directors as Carl Wilhelm, Ernő Metzner, Gustav Ucicky and Max Nosseck. After the switch to sound film he was engaged by the German industry leader Universum Film AG (Ufa) as a film editor (cutter). Albert Peter Adam Florath (7 December 1888, Bielefeld – 11 March 1957, Gaildorf) was a German stage and film actor. Early life and education Born to Joseph Florath, a locksmith, and his wife Matilda, née Burkart, he attended school in Brakel and the Realgymnasium in Paderborn. He was bailiff candidate in Delbrück, where he was active in the welfare, church and school department and the police administration. Acting career Florath gained first stage experience in amateur dramatic groups of local clubs in Delbrück. In 1908, Florath gave up his career in office and went to Munich-Schwabing, to devote himself entirely to acting. He debuted in 1908 as a stage actor at the court theater in Munich. He took acting lessons with Alois Wohlmut and, as a sideline, wrote feuilleton contributions.
