George Younger, 4th Viscount Younger Of Leckie
George Kenneth Hotson Younger, 4th Viscount Younger of Leckie, Baron Younger of Prestwick, (22 September 1931 – 26 January 2003), was a British Conservative Party politician and banker. Early life and career Younger's forebear, George Younger (baptised 1722), was the founder of George Younger and Son of Alloa, the family's brewing business (not to be confused with Younger's of Edinburgh). Younger's great-grandfather, George Younger, was created Viscount Younger of Leckie in 1923. Younger was the eldest of the three sons of Edward Younger, 3rd Viscount Younger of Leckie. He was born in Stirling in 1931 and educated at Cargilfield Preparatory School, Winchester College, and New College, Oxford, where he obtained a Master's degree. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Basketball Premier League, Israeli Premier League. Anthony Gordon Younger (born April 1, 1980) is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. Sam Younger
James Samuel Younger (born 5 October 1951) is a British media and charity manager. Younger was managing director of the BBC World Service from 1994 to 1998, and chief executive of the British Red Cross from 1999 to 2001. He was the founding chairman of the United Kingdom Electoral Commission from 2001 to 2008 and the chief executive of the Charity Commission for England and Wales from September 2010 to April 2014. Tommy Younger
Thomas Younger (10 April 1930 – 13 January 1984) was a Scottish footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Hibernian, Liverpool, Falkirk, Leeds United, Stoke City and the Scotland national team. Career Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Younger signed for his hometown club Hibernian in 1948. He was part of the successful side of the early 50s, winning two titles in 1950–51 and 1951–52. Liverpool manager Phil Taylor signed Younger in June 1956 for £9000. He made his debut at Anfield on 18 August 1956 in a league match against Huddersfield Town. Robert Younger, Baron Blanesburgh
Robert Younger, Baron Blanesburgh, (12 September 1861 – 17 August 1946) was a British barrister and judge. The scion of a Scottish brewing family, he practised at the bar of England and Wales, before being appointed to the High Court in 1915, the Court of Appeal in 1919, and the House of Lords in 1923. He served as a law lord until 1937, when failing eyesight forced his retirement. Paul "Tank" Younger
Paul Lawrence "Tank" Younger (June 25, 1928 – September 15, 2001) was an American professional football player who was a fullback, halfback, and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) from 1949 through 1958. He played college football for Grambling State University, was the first NFL player from a predominantly black college, and was the first African American to become an NFL front-office administrator (scout and executive with the Rams until 1975). Jane Younger
Jane Younger (1863–1955) was a Scottish artist known for her watercolour paintings and embroidery work. Biography Younger was born in Glasgow into a prosperous family involved in the cotton trade. She studied under Jessie Newbery at the Glasgow School of Art and at the school of animal painting at Craigmill run by Joseph Donovan Adam. She also studied in Paris in the studio of Gustave Courtois and at the École des Beaux-Arts. While still a student, she joined the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists. George Younger, 1st Viscount Younger of Leckie (13 October 1851 – 29 April 1929) was a British politician. Early life George Younger was born on 13 October 1851. He was educated at Edinburgh Academy. Career Younger left college at the age of 17 on his father's death to run the family brewery of George Younger and Son, the business founded by his great-grandfather, George Younger (baptised 17 February 1722), of Alloa, Clackmannanshire. He became chairman in 1897. Younger was a Deputy Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire from November 1901, and Unionist Party member of parliament for Ayr Burghs from 1906 until 1922.
