''Young, Gifted and Yellow'' is a compilation album by Yellowman, released originally in the United Kingdom on 22 April 2013, and subsequently in other European countries in the following days by VP Records. It features rarities, outtakes and live performances from the period 1970–84, including songs with Fathead and Sister Nancy. It contains " Zunga Zeng", which is commonly known as the most popular song by Yellowman. Winston Foster , better known by the stage name Yellowman, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall deejay, also known as King Yellowman. He first became popular in Jamaica in the 1980s, rising to prominence with a series of singles that established his reputation. Career Winston Foster was abandoned by his parents and grew up in the Maxfield Children's Home and the Catholic orphanage Alpha Boys School in Kingston, the latter known for its musical alumni. Outtake
An outtake is a portion of a work (usually a film or music recording) that is removed in the editing process and not included in the work's final, publicly released version. ''Mister Yellowman'' is the debut studio album by the Jamaican reggae and dancehall deejay Yellowman. In October 1982 it was released as ''Mister Yellowman'' in the United Kingdom by Greensleeves Records and as ''Duppy or Gunman'' in Jamaica by Jah Guidance / VP Records, also in 1982. Critical reception A 1982 review in ''Billboard'' states "Yellowman strips reggae down to the minimum here. The vocals are rapped almost as much as sung, whilst the instrumentation is down to almost the rhythm track. It was released in a slightly altered form outside Jamaica in 1984 as ''Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt''.
