Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza is an Italian professional men's volleyball club based in Piacenza, northern Italy. Dedicated businessmen and citizens decided to establish a new volleyball club to embrace the rich volleyball culture in Piacenza when the city's historic club, Volley Piacenza, went bankrupt. It currently plays in the Superlega, the highest level league of Italian volleyball. It first debut to play in Serie A2 for Season 2018/19. After a successful season 2018/19 which they won the title of Serie A2, the team was promoted to Superlega. Piacenza
Piacenza (; egl, label= Piacentino, Piaṡëinsa ; ) is a city and in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, and the capital of the eponymous province. As of 2022, Piacenza is the ninth largest city in the region by population, with over 102,000 inhabitants. Aaron Joseph Russell (born June 4, 1993) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for JT Thunders and the U.S. national team. He was a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and the 2018 World Championship. Personal life Aaron Russell grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland, U.S. His parents are Stewart and Marian Russell. Aaron was born the second of five boys. The other brothers are Peter (1992), Samuel (1995), Tim (1999) and Paul (2002). Peter also plays volleyball professionally. Russell was a top soccer player for Centennial High School in Maryland. Lorenzo Bernardi (born 11 August 1968) is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player, a silver medallist at the Olympic Games Atlanta 1996, two–time World Champion (1990, 1994), and a two–time European Champion ( 1989, 1995). Bernardi was elected best player of the 1994 World Championship and 1995 European Championship, and in 2001, the FIVB declared him to be the "Volleyball Player of the Century" with Karch Kiraly.
