''You Come Before You'' is the third full-length album by American metalcore band Poison the Well (band), Poison the Well. It was released on July 1, 2003. It is the band's only release on a major label (Atlantic Records). More than 115,500 copies of the album have been sold in the U.S. to date. The Japanese version was released through Warner Music Japan on October 29, 2003 and featured an exclusive bonus track, "Sticks and Stones Never Made Sense (Demo)" which had been recorded in early October 2000. On November 17, 2017, Poison the Well spoke out against a vinyl re-press of ''You Come Before You'' done through German record label Backbite Records, stating that the band had not been consulted for the release. The band criticized the subpar audio quality, the poor layout and noted numerous misspelling of words, song titles and the album's title on the artwork. Poison the Well is an American metalcore band from Miami, Florida who were last signed to Ferret Music. In 2010, they announced a hiatus to explore other interests. Lead guitarist Ryan Primack and drummer Chris Hornbrook, Christopher Hornbrook were the only remaining founding members, although vocalist Jeffrey Moreira featured on all five of their full-length albums. The band has since performed several reunion shows: two in 2015, eleven in 2016 and one in 2020. Don Clark (born May 30, 1975) is an American musician. He was the rhythm guitarist and bassist for the Christian metal band, Demon Hunter, which he co-founded with his brother, vocalist Ryan Clark. Before Demon Hunter, Clark was a former guitarist and co-founder of Training for Utopia with Rob Dennler. He appears on Zao's ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'' DVD. History Before forming TFU and Demon Hunter, Clark was in a local band called Offset. Offset never recorded anything and was short lived. Clark then started Training for Utopia with Rob Dennler. Christopher Aaron Hornbrook is an American drummer and a founding member of Metalcore/Post-hardcore band, Poison the Well. He also is working with Dhani Harrison and Killer Be Killed and The Black Queen singer, Greg Puciato. From 2014 to 2018, Hornbrook was also a member of Senses Fail. Early life Chris Hornbrook was born in Hollywood, Florida to French-Canadian immigrants, Donald Hornbrook and Moisette Maltais, in the early nineteen eighties. He started playing local South Florida punk shows at the age of fifteen with his high school garage band before being asked to join a local punk band called Last Minute. ''Versions'' is Poison the Well's fourth studio album. It was released on April 2, 2007 in Europe and April 3, 2007 World Wide via Ferret Music. ''Versions'' is the first release for Poison the Well on Ferret Music and is also the band's first release since 2003's ''You Come Before You''. The trio of Ryan Primack (guitar), Chris Hornbrook (drums) and Jeffrey Moreira (vocals) wrote the album over the past few years. Primack describes the material as having many more colors and nuances than previous work. "The songs are pretty open-ended and there's a lot of unique instrumentation in the background throughout such as mandolins, slide guitar, horns and banjo," he says.
